The JCI TOYP (Ten Outstanding Young Persons) is a prestigious global award program that recognizes young individuals between the ages of 18 to 40 who have made significant contributions to their communities and the world. The program, established in 1983 by the Junior Chamber International (JCI), seeks to honor individuals who have achieved greatness in their respective fields and who have shown exceptional leadership skills.

JCI TOYP recipients are chosen from a pool of nominees from all over the world, representing a wide range of industries and backgrounds. Nominees are evaluated based on their achievements, their impact on society, and their ability to inspire and empower others.

The JCI TOYP UNIBEN initiative provides a platform for young people to showcase their achievements and gain recognition for their hard work and dedication. It also serves as a motivation for other young people to strive for excellence, pursue their passions, and make a difference in their communities.

The nomination process for the JCI TOYP UNIBEN include the following:

The nomination process for JCI TOYP UNIBEN involves identifying and submitting outstanding young people in various categories through an online nomination form. The categories include Business, Civic Leadership, Cultural Achievement, Humanitarian and Voluntary Leadership, Political and Legal Affairs, Scientific and Technological Innovation, and Personal Improvement and Accomplishment.


After the nomination process, the judges will review the submissions and select the finalists for each category. The finalists will then be put up for online voting where members of the public can vote for their preferred candidate.


The winners will be announced during the JCI TOYP UNIBEN award ceremony, and they will receive recognition for their achievements, a certificate of honor, and media coverage to showcase their accomplishments.


The nomination and voting process is transparent and fair, and it provides an opportunity for outstanding young people to gain recognition for their hard work and dedication to their communities.

Who can apply ?

JCI TOYP UNIBEN is open to all outstanding young people between the ages of 18 and 40 who are making significant contributions in their chosen fields and communities. The following criteria are used in the selection process:

  • Achievements: Nominees must have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their field of endeavor or community service.​

  • Impact: Nominees must have made a significant impact through their achievements, improving the lives of individuals or communities.

  • Leadership: Nominees must have shown leadership qualities in their field or community service.

  • Innovation: Nominees must have shown exceptional creativity and innovation in their approach to solving problems or making a difference in their community.

  • Integrity: Nominees must demonstrate high ethical and moral standards.

  • Sustainability: Nominees must demonstrate a commitment to sustainability and a long-term impact.
